Words from on High

Okay if you have any love at all for the music or subculture and can make it out on Wednesday nights, then I beg of you to go to the Vogue so we don't lose the longest running Goth Night in Seattle.

And yes I know you heard it last year at this time, but well....you know how it goes. Show up, support the scene!

I would, but it's hard to go out when I have to be up for work at 4:30am the next morning. :(

I'll be dragging as many of the usual suspects with me next week as I can possibly manage. Maybe even a few unusual suspects. *grin*

You can count me in.

I shudder to think what could replace goth night. *shudder*

Me too. And hopefully I can get enough folks going for the next few weeks to keep the night going.

Next Wednesday is my birthday and as much as I don't do work nights, this is an exception. Long story short, I'll be there with bells on dragging everyone I can with me!!

I can't promise my presence ongoing, but I'll do what I can!!

Thanks. that's all we can ask of the scene is for support.

Nope, just drag more bodies there. Hopefully it won't be as freaking hot. I'm looking into advertising now.

(I posted these on Ogre's LJ here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/ogremarco/186155.html?thread=975915#t975915) and here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/ogremarco/186155.html?thread=976171#t976171), and he suggested I make sure to toss them your way. So, here ya go...(grin))

#1) I might be able to help a bit with flyering — not so much with the passing out, because of my evening work schedule, but possibly with the printing.

I'm working at the Xerox print shop at M$ right now. One of the services they offer is "personal copies" — as long as it's paid with a credit card, they'll print anything. Plus, they've been able to knock the prices down cheaper than Kinko's or other commercial quick-print shops.

I don't have a solid price list on me, but it could be an option. Have someone send me a digital file to use, and I can print and pay (though, not having figured out the "rich-and-famous" angle yet, I would need to be reimbursed). Should be cheaper than printing flyers up anywhere else, and I could wander my happy ass up to the Vogue after work during the week to hand them over.

It's a thought, at least. Feel free to hit me up if you (or anyone else) wants to work on this - djwudi (at) myrealbox (dot) com

#2) Hell, I used to do flyers all the time for the clubs I worked in Anchorage — maybe I could fire up Photoshop and get crackin' again.

Then again, maybe not — I just drug out all my old flyers (http://djwudi.typepad.com/photos/oldflyers/). Maybe I'll stay away from Photoshop. ;)

Well, I won't be there, but perhaps I can donate the cover...it's what, $5?

Yep yep. I'll try to drag the boy and whoever else I can get my hands on, too.

That I don't know. I know it's more than an average of 50 something...
