Well

To folks who always ask if we're hiring at Drizzle.

The answer is yes, we're hiring for someone to do Tech support. If you're related to me don't bother replying as we can't hire you (sorry haate) but if you've got GOOD tech skills, just reply to me and I'll give you the info as where to e-mail your resume.

Remember, Drizzle is a freak friendly place, as they let me work here in make up and all.

I know someone who's looking, though I think he's looking more for system-end stuff than end-user stuff.

I'm looking definitely. Please send me the info (hellgeist@gmail.com)
My skills are good, but I'm not as much of a tech as I used to be since they sucked me up into the analysis world. But I catch up fast ;)

Doug if you know anyone that is looking for work and they don't get hired at drizzle, Speakeasy is hiring too.

It varies based on experience. Starting is between $12-$14 and they have a variable comp structure. Other Departments get paid a bit more.

Thanks for submitting your resume to SPEAKEASY.net!

This is an auto-reply informing you that we have received your resume
and it is under review. As we receive a high volume of resumes each day,
it is nearly impossible to respond to each of them, but be assured that
we will contact you as soon as possible if we'd like you to come in for
an interview.

Sincerely,

SPEAKEASY.net Human Resources

Ooh ooh! I was a tech support flunky for an ISP (Seanet) for a while back in '94 and a unix sys admin after that! I need a job! Who do I talk to?

Sorry, I forgot to ask important questions. :)

What is entailed in the tech support? Any qualifications I should be aware of? Job description?

My housemate used to know Kaley, is she still the owner? (He says he hasn't talked to her in years.)

Thank you!

well we do support for Dial up, DSL, ISDN, webhosting, email, fun things like that. no job description yet, but as soon as we get one I'll post.

And well Kaley no longer works here or owns the company.

Great! Who do I mail resume/cover letter to? Or should I wait for the job description?

That's so weird, that we never got an announcement about it. Every time I've had an ISP change hands they've at least said SOMETHING. I think something was said about it in January but only when someone had to pry the information out of someone.

I dunno, it's just weird.

I would say that I'm interested, but I don't think Drizzle could handle my salary requirements. ;-)

Another question, I see that Drizzle was just sold to Internet Professionals & Network Solutions. The articles I see all reference Kaley Davis as the founder; how long has it been since she has been gone? Did she leave when Drizzle merged with Site Specific?

She was the only person there for a LOOOONG time. We originally got xDSL through Drizzle (1998?) and had it until Covad decided that they hated us.

Just curious.
